Last week was week 2 of outdoor learning, where the children made forest crowns and wands. We also went into the forest and made some magic potions and took part in a fairy hunt, where we had to help the fairies find their lost objects.

I can definitely say we had a magical day 🌲

Last week at Little Acorns we held our annual Father’s Day stall for the children to be able to have the opportunity to buy something special for their Daddies/someone special . Here are some of the fabulous gifts we had on offer.

The children have been using a variety of materials to make their own clothes over the pass few days. Today one little girl decided some of our staff needed a make over and here are the results 😂

I think she has done an amazing job! Jo, Julie, Amy and Katy looking fabulous!

Last week we started our yearly Outdoor learning🌲

The theme was Nature detective 🐛 we explored the forest, made spider webs, made hungry caterpillar plates and took part in a bug hunt and found a few scary bugs 🕷 🕷🕷

A few weeks ago a lovely Man called Ian Topham knocked on the door at Little Acorns and handed me an envelope! When I asked what was inside he replied that it was a gift!

This gift was from Ian and the team at Brixworth photographic society, they very kindly donated just over £100 of their profit to Little Acorns from an annual portrait session they held in the village just before Christmas.

This was a lovely and thoughtful surprise and would like to thank everyone who is part of the photographic society and those people that had their photos taken by these lovely people.

We discussed what to do with the money and decided the children would benefit from some new dressing up clothes. So just wanted to share with everyone the lovely outfits we managed to buy for the children because of the generosity of the members of the Brixworth Photographic Society.

Thank you so much from all the staff and children at Little Acorns Pre-School.

At Little Acorns we are very lucky as we have two outside spaces for the children to enjoy and explore.
